The opening is very enchanting. Like one is stepping into a peaceful and calm world.
An ambient, floaty, uplifting nature-y song. Harvest is a pretty good descriptive word for it.
Holy shit I learned a lot making this song, I have to give credit to taintedlogic for his music criteria: https://taintedlogic.newgrounds.com/news/post/989340 It made me start thinking about music completely differently.
With this song I sort of feel like I got lucky with my sound design. This is one of the only few times that I wish I had more than 8 instrument tracks. I would have added some ambient noises, static support, and percussion, but sometimes you can't do anything about it.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
EDIT: crap, I forgot to use the entire stereo image for this submission. I'm going to update it after NGAUC is over.

Stats and Stuff:
---------------------------
This is the first time I made it past the knock-out round of NGAUC, so I've comprised a little collection of my Instrument sources. (not very big cause I can only use 8 Ableton Live tracks)
Two samples were from the compifont sound font which I'm pretty sure is public domain. See website sources:

3 Samples / Virtual Instruments from Spitfire Audio -- Labs:
- Pedal Pads: Sustain Guitar
- Hand Bells: Ghost Hand Bells
- Music Box: Hannah Peel's Music Box
The rest are fm synths I made with dexed.

I like the spacey atmosphere at the beginning and the cute synth riffs. The bass at :23 is a little heavy, and I think the texture is missing some more legato elements (pads would be nice), but the melodies at :58 are really cute. I really like the somewhat melancholic feel of the piece at around 1:27 and the emotional quality of the synths there. At around the 2-minute mark, the harmonies trip over each other a bit, likely because of the delay effects. I think the part at 1:27 is rather minimalistic for such an extended section of the piece, and then the transition at 2:33 is a bit sudden. I think a lot of the last ⅔ or so of the piece is really languid and mellow, and might need a climactic section to give the piece a stronger sense of resolve. I really like the atmosphere and sound design here, and I think the mix is mostly well-balanced and clean, but the composition left a bit more to be desired here, especially in terms of harmonic depth and flow. Either way, I’d encourage you to keep working on this piece. It has a really nice emotional appeal in that it feels both cutesy and sad at the same time. Keep at it, Zechnition! :)

Thank you for the detailed review! Very helpful suggestions! Hopefully I'l have some time to make a few changes.
Very wispy in the beginning. I think the bass could have had a little better introduction. Very soothing though. I can see it trying to go somewhere a little different bu it doesn't get all the way there for me, personally. Still very pretty. Some percussion could go a long way in this song.
I'm getting Legend of Zelda OOT Ice level vibes mixed with Stardew Valley vibes, and I really like what I'm feeling with this
Thanks! I definitely used a little bit of stardew valley as inspiration, but I interestingly enough haven't played oot yet. botw's soundtrack is deeply ingrained into me so there's probably something from there that overlaps.
