its a nice synth. a nice track even. But its not mixed to great. Your bass is too low key wise. And there's a loud of overlap in your mids. Be judicious with your eq, cut some high on the low, some low on the high. Roll the general volume back, utilize some panning and diversify the sample choice. Add some reverb too to make the track sound more live. If all that sounds negative I don't mean it to be. It has loads of potential. Still gonna 5.

I was trying to copy the lo-fi aesthetic of Boards of Canada, which embraces imperfections. So I made a lot of choices that went against typical mastering conventions. BOC's basslines are quite low. And I actually did use panning and reverb effects in this one.
In fact, I could have just applied a resonant low pass filter to the whole thing, since a lot of BOC's music barely use frequencies over 15 kHz... seriously.
Appreciate your thoughts, but I'm not sure I'd change anything (this was just a 'demo' practice track really, but I could return to this style again).
