I'm gonna call you jazmot. Lots going on here. Starting trawling through the entries here from the beginning and this is the first to hold my attention. Great work.

This is a track I spent an awful lot of time on, and I think it payed off incredibly well. Easily my favorite track out of the ones I've made ever. [2021 edit: nah diriklet smashes this one]
I used FL Studio, with a lot of processing on a lot of synth patches, even using Ableton to process and resample some instruments and sound effects.
yes [2022 edit: NAHH WHIRLIGIGS SMASHES THIS ONE BY FAAAAR, AND THAT ONE TOOK HALF THE TIME TO MAKE]
[2023, April 26th Edit: I admit, I don't get really excited when coming back to this one. I'm attached to a lot of the stuff I made years ago, but this one represents a lot of bad habits I had while I was still a beginner, in their full glory (or lack thereof, rather).
Sticking to one project in particular for way too long, aspiring perfection, especially as a beginner, almost drove me away from music. That's why in the following year, 2020, I only finished four tracks. And that's why Archival, the EP I made but pretend doesn't exist, ended up as rushed as it did. This project hoarded all my attention, and ended up hurting the quality of other tracks like Bwam Bwam, and not even letting me finish some others, evidenced by unfinished shiz.
Don't get me wrong, this track was a big leap in my technical skills back then, and damn I was fucking proud of having finished it, finishing a project you've been working on for ages feels amazing, but the track doesn't resonate with me now as much as stuff like Purple Paint or Diriklet does.
I don't mean to take away from your enjoyment of this track, if you enjoy it I'm very glad; but to me, Purple Paint, Diriklet, those tracks have an identity of their own, meanwhile this one feels more sterile. I was half-decent at making stuff, but I hadn't even started finding my musical identity yet.
Even still, this track's an important part in my journey. For a time, this was the track that made me confident in pursuing music and made me want to stick with it, before Diriklet, and before Whirligigs. It's something I made, so it's worth sharing. I don't think I'm putting 130 hours into a single track again for a long while though. Edit over.]

Very interesting piece overall, it feels like a hybrid of experimental/ambient sort of drum-and-bass (albeit slower), which is a unique combo.
One thing I kinda felt is that there is a lack of... fill in some places, especially in the first third of the song. Perhaps a pad in the background would create more depth?
Anyhow it is a very unique listen in my opinion!
