Ayyy, thanks for the great music. Might use it in a D&D session with the family soon. :D
Ayyy it's you! Welcome back, whoever you are! Have some cinematic background music from the Tales of Nowhere podcast! We're a tabletop RPG podcast where we take one cast of characters from multiple games and rulesets to tell one epic story.
This piece is the background for an underwater prison, The Oubliette. The heroes approach the prison when it's suddenly rocked by explosions! Then, other stuff happens! And even more things!
Wow
Anyway, this song is in like 13/16 timing for the first two minutes, then switches to 7/8, then 6/8, then back to 7/8 cause why not. But I had fun writing it and it creates an interesting soundscape (or at least that was the intention). So have a good ol' listen and hopefully you like it!
(And yes, I know the BWAAA thing is played out and trope-y. It's like starting your movie trailer with a single high piano note, every fucking thing does it. Which is why immediately afterward I detune the shit out of it for fun)

Hahah, awesome! That's exactly the kind of thing it was made for!
I like the smooth synths at the beginning. The reverberant percussion is a nice touch, although I would’ve liked to hear a more gradual transition into :39. The production is clean, although the piece doesn’t have a lot of harmonic variety. I like the quirky percussion at 1:25 and the strings at 1:36. There’s a good sense of shape and flow in the texture overall. The melodic content at 3:17 is a good way of hitting the piece home, although at this point I wish the rhythmic content of it was a bit more dynamic. The pitch-bending on the pads at 3:43 is nice, and the ominous outro helps this piece feel full-circle. Overall, strong work with the mixing and mastering, harmonic content, sound design, and atmosphere. Most of my complaints feel like missed opportunities more than things that actively bothered me, which is certainly good for you. Keep at it, Burn7! :)
