I like the blissful pads and energy at the beginning. The “are you ready” vocal samples were a bit cheesy, though, and the chord progression is pretty generic. The synth bass and lead at :21 are both pretty cliche, but I like the sense of build into :44. There are a lot of different sections to the piece that are connected by pretty sudden transitions, but I am enjoying the melodic content and full texture. The vocal samples are a bit overused, and I think you could’ve done a better job at channeling the energy into more distinct emotional heights as opposed to the rapid succession of melodies between :44 and 2:05. I appreciate your efforts to add some harmonic variety to the piece at 2:30, but this section comes on rather suddenly, which makes it come across as pretty jarring. I think transitions are a major opportunity for improvement for you going forward. I also think that, while it was nice for you to bring the main melody back for the final refrain later in the piece, it would benefit from some additional variation. Production-wise, this piece is rather strong, although sometimes the treble-range leads sound a bit harsh in the mix. It might be worth it to equalize out some of the higher tones there. Overall, my main concerns here include the transitions and unoriginal sound design. Still, this piece clearly has a lot of potential between the strong mastering, fun melodic content, and catchy rhythmic components. Keep at it, Eeyanzai! :)
