I made this track for the mighty Newgrouds Audio Deathmatch!
Worked hard on this one, the best Audacity could allow me.

honestly? for audacity, this isn't bad. from what little i know of the program, it's extremely clunky to use, and almost impossible to make anything in to begin with.

i think if you took the time to learn a new DAW, you could become a great artist! if money's an issue, there are some quality DAWs out there that are entirely free (think LMMS and Cakewalk are two of the most common). otherwise, i would recommend FL Studio for beginners, it's relatively easy to pick up.

keep at it :^)

You need to improve.
how many hours of effort did you have to make to create those simple sounds in a program that is not going to create a musical piece.
the piece is a bit strange, it is pure noise set in a compass but the truth has a good rhythm.
You should download some DAW even if it is the simplest, so you can create unique and non-repetitive compositions. If you do not know how to use it, there is no problem. I know that you will improve and achieve something very big, you just need the tools.
damn, I should have read your description before making the criticism, if you are going to concuss in a music event try to do something that people like in general, your tastes are strange but unique I hope you continue producing good noise is like me unbearably I would call, for you it's music
Four stars as loud music is fine, ah I understand your purpose

EverythingYouWish responds:

Thanks. I am wordless.

The rhythmic elements of the piece are pretty good, but overall the texture is very thin and poorly balanced. The piece almost entirely consists of jarring, loud, distorted, and percussive sounds with few moving notes or meaningful progressions. There are also a couple of sudden transitions, like at :48 and 1:29. Besides that, there just isn’t a lot of substantive material in this piece for me to critique. It has very few moving notes and scarce evidence of textural depth or mixing. Let me be frank: this piece sounds like you’re being heavily limited by the production tools you’re using. As @WolfgangMiakoda alluded to, there are plenty of free digital audio workstations that would easily allow you to do more with your talents. I’d recommend GarageBand or LMMS, depending on what type of computer you have. Good luck! :)

Not one of my good ones.

Honestly, the fact that this was made in Audacity, an audio editing software, and not a digital audio workstation, is really impressive. I can imagine how difficult it must have been to actually create all these sounds.

However, I'd still recommend getting an actual digital audio workstation, such as garage band, ableton, FL Studio, etc. All of them have free demos you can try to make stuff in, which will give you a lot more tools than Audacity.

EverythingYouWish responds:

Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it.
I also would like to consider your advice!
