Went into this project with the intention of trying out "Drunk" drumming, where you play loose against the beat but reinforce it to make it stick. Turned into a full blown song about getting drunk :D

I'm EXTREMELY happy with the turnout on this one, it's the first track I've used my Warwick Corvette on, and a chance to try new techniques on my physical instruments and in my DAW.

On a side note: Mixing this track was hell, it wasn't even finnicky, just too me forever to get the mix just right.

Interesting experiment...getting drunk and then attempting the almost imposable...hehe...yet well done TheComet...enjoyed this track till the end...didn't even know this was done by someone who was drunk until the description spelled it out to me...lol :D

TheComet responds:

I was mostly sober for this one, the drunken part of it is the playstyle on the score. :P

Adam Neely did an awesome video on it over on YouTube, the general idea is to play slightly off time with certain aspects of your drumline, but reinforce it with repetition so it sounds off-kilter, but not out of time. It's kinda like playing with swing but WAY looser. Questlove does this style of drumming big time, and it sounds amazing in his hands.
