An entry I made for the Newgrounds Audio Contest, using Gabe the Dog for a simple melody.

Dude, this song is pretty dope! I love the build up and the beat and the melody/chord progression. The fade out was cool. The only thing that got me is the mix. Gabe's a little too high in it and some level could have been louder or a little more beefy in the low end. But fun song over all!

3 outta 5 Gabe's red lipstick

You would have scored well with those amen break samples. I can probably guarantee that I’m the only judge with an amen break tattoo.

Those animal samples sound tossed on top though. The rhythms are so intricately programmed that you had it in you to plug those animals in with some more creativity. That bark could have been put on a sampler, patched through an arp, then pitch bent like a Squarepusher pad line ripping 32nd notes. Filtered with some heavy reverb a dog arp could probably fill up a lot of space as a pad too.

Since the samples feel so tossed on top it’s hard for me to judge this as highly as a few of the others. The jungle made me super happy though.

I thrust your song 4 out of 12 nachos

oh god that bark is really high pitched lol..

it's a cool song in the bg - I just find hte barking gets repetitive really quickly.. kinda wish there were more samples and that you had diversified a bit more for the contest.

by about 1:35 I want to murder the song hahaha

at about 1:50 my mind has resigned itself to the barking hahaha

2:05 my mind returns to wanting to murder it hahaha, then 2:15 it is ok again - it's weird haha..

but yeah.. I'll give this a.. 3 out of 5 lol...

hell yeeeeeeeeeeeeh
