Welcome to GROUNDS PATROL's first creator interview! Troisnyx is a long-time and *very* prolific Newgrounds creator - she releases audio, art and in-depth personal news posts and, on top of that, finds time to be a dedicated audio mod as well.

One thing I wish for in those audio threads is that they would encourage more user interaction, rather than just having people post their music and leave. They could advertise their songs on their news page instead. I think the forums should be a place for community, not self-promotion.

EDIT. Thank you @Troisnyx

What’s possible for most people is making friends who care about the music you create. And I believe more people have the potential to build that.

Troisnyx responds:

What risks being the case with this is more of the same: music being lost in the aether

We all don't want music to be lost in the aether, but we've no frameworks in place to give space for people to "come and sit" with a selection of people and ask them questions about their work

We now mindlessly post like on Discord servers, hoping that someone, anyone, will answer, but we expect zero response, and the process is exhausting

If it's community we're after, I don't mind us posting to people who will actively ask us questions and in turn, encourage us to ask questions of other people. Something's gotta precipitate the community making process, and because it won't stick immediately, we need people who can fill in for when some of us have to step away

Big ask, but certainly doable. I'm proposing a similar approach to Soundskills, the place I volunteer at, and it's being taken on board with suggestions of new, regular events to lift the dark cloud surrounding a lot of creatives in our area.

Troisynx is a phenomenal person. She makes me feel like I have a purpose. Keep being you.

Heeey an unexpected written/narrated cameo here! :D Appreciated. And awesome interview. Learned a fair share of Doujin-related trivia, among other things. Seems you're involved with pretty much everything too @Troisnyx ! Good stuff.

One of the best on here! Great person too. Glad you're still making music, Trois!

Troisnyx responds:

I don't plan on stopping. Thanks for the high praise!

Great job guys!
