A tasty bittersweet melody
I decided to write something in my older style of music-- less epic, and more emotion-driven and deeper. I spend a couple of days working on this and I think it turned out pretty good. I had a nostalgic kind of melody and chord progression, and I developed it into this piece of music. It sounds kind of happy, but there's a bit of underlying sadness and stuff. Enjoy
A tasty bittersweet melody
It's very pretty. I could picture it in a movie. The one thing I think would really help would be to "slow down" the "solo" strings sections like at 1:56 for example. The 4th cord (not a 4 chord) from the timestamp seemed a little rushed. Otherwise, very pretty composition and style.
If you don't mind me asking, what programs/synths do you use for the orchestral stuff?
Haha I’m using new software to make music and I overlooked tempo changes because I’m still adjusting. Oops! I usually drag out a few chords at the end of important phrases. The orchestral stuff is a few sample libraries rather than synths
very pretty. did you use a synthesizer for the sounds or do you play instruments? I can see this as a movie score. amazing job my man.
I used to play french horn (not anymore) but I write in everything and use sample libraries for the orchestral parts. Glad you liked it!
