It’s really nice, I really like the buildup and the drop is a lot more original than I though it would be. I also love the plucky intro you have. It kinda sets off a chill vibe then goes hard. The only things I would critique is Mixing and lack of bass.
The mix:
I think it’s bueatifully produced tho I think it could’ve been mixed more, the basses you could eq and add a bit more compression and sausage fattened for some beefiness. Maybe a bit more reverb and compression on the lead. I also think distortion would be good but not too much.
Lack of bass:
Now I think what you tried to focus on was instruments and that’s never a bad thing, though it’s always good to have a fatty bass stack. I hear you do have a mid bass in the verse but that seems to be it. If you wanted you could eq around 120hz and put a fat sub bass in there and compress it slightly. Also if you haven’t already you should layer your basses with sub bass to give it a punchier feeling. Basses don’t have much low end either so sub helps with that.
Patterns:
I think it’s a fair a original drop as though I think you tried to throw a lot of basses at once and that kinda ruins the drop, though I think it’s important to have some sort of patter. I’ll revert to wubbix and virtual riot for patterns. Wubbix uses a patter with is laid out in 8 bars, with on bar being a letter
A B A C A B A D
I’ve used this myself and it works quite well. For virtual riot he talks about Call and response a lot when it comes to patterns, which means that each part of the track goes back to each other and developes onto each other.
Anyway I’m sorry for such a long review but I wanted to talk about this track. Anyway keep up the work :)
