IT'S ALMOST HALLOWEEN!
With this one I was just trying to come up with different sounds you hear in a lot of Halloween tropes. Things like, tense rising buildups before unsettling drops, creepy music boxes, Victorian harpsichord.
I decided to add some small sound samples to set the mood and then got a little carried away and practiced with some stereo panning to create an atmosphere.
Imagine you're from an old village set long ago and you decide to head into the forest to explore the mansion that dwells deep within. Once you arrive, you feel the air is unsettling as you open the door. As the huge door creeks open, you trigger a mechanism that locks the door behind you and activates all the horrible traps and tricks the mansion has in store.
