I experimented with a few different things in this piece. Firstly I went a bit crazy with distortion on one of the lead instruments - it was originally an acoustic bass. I started making music on computer using FM synthesis and remembered some of the interesting sounds - so I incorporated some of those sounds for the hi-hats and one of the musical loops.

Toward the end there are a few key changes. I thought it'd be fun to go through several and see how that works out.

It is quite a complex piece of music when you focus on the individual layers, which I found it enjoyable to create and re-listen to.

Made using Reason 8 on a Surface Pro 3 with a mouse (didn't have a music keyboard with me), mostly in a hotel room over the other side of the world whilst suffering from jet-lag.

May be nice as a soundtrack for something?
