I should be working on assignments for my studies, but I found myself playing the piano instead. It has been a couple of months already, so here's a new piano improv. For some reason it reminds me a bit of "True Silence", which is one of my older improvisations. It seems I also accidentally borrowed a short little progression from one of Phono's tracks. That can happen while improvising at times, but I doubt he'll mind :)

You can watch me play too, if you'd like to:

So glad to hear a new improv from you, Lucid! It's beautiful <3 It makes me think of the sound tracks of some of my favorite movies such as Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro and Spirited Away. But One Day has it's own journey and story that I am enjoying being carried away with. :)

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

I love all those movies! So I'm glad you followed along with the story of my improv ^___^
Thanks for checking out my work again :D!

Absolutely Lovely. Fav'ed and Followed. Such a soothing song. I also have been on a time crunch so I've been just pressing record and improv'ing instead of doing my assignments. Either way Excellent piano playing. What program/DAW do you use?

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

I'm very glad that you, and many others liked the improv! We seem to be in the same boat xD
I'll go and check out your latest piece, since it seems you just uploaded one :)

I use Cubase Pro 9. It's expensive, but very useful. Most people on here use FL Studio, I think :D
For this piano sound, I just used an RCA cable and took the sound directly from my Yamaha Clavinova piano. Usually I'd use plugins, though!

Yeah this song just makes me more excited for your next installment of the "Playing With Letters" series. Wouldn't be surprised if you used this gem of a song, could put it in the prologue before getting to the puzzles.

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thank you! I'll see when I get time to make the final game :)
I'm actually writing my bachelor's thesis on how video games could be used in music education!

Beautiful improvisation) Maybe not very confident at the beginning, but the middle part and ending are great

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Thank you! I imagine I was just playing in a more sensitive way at the start, for the sake of the dynamic change being more impactful later on :)

Bah, assignments are meant to be done last minute anyways. This is beautiful!

LucidShadowDreamer responds:

Hahha, they ure are xD
Thanks for the support :DDD!!!
