Spoopy Dark Song for Haloween times. oooOOOooo

Hey guys, it's Slash again, tossing a HUGE Trance track your way.
It has been a while since I made a full-on trance piece, but I personally feel this is one of my best progressive-trance songs. (My only other real attempt sounds HORRIBLE).
As for what I was going for within this song, I was aiming for a dark, engulfing escape theme with a few signs of hope scattered throughout it. I also got massive inspiration from an old piece by "Lorn" called "Diamond" (Link right here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvMxJkTaE4I )
*Might be used in an upcoming game I'm helping out with as well, who knows*
As always, I'm ecstatic to get feedback from the people that listen to my works and always take them into consideration for later pieces.
Thanks Guys,
- Slash ^.^

This song wasn't that bad. I don't mind the beats being repetitive because if you hear the songs from games like "Undertale", their beats are usually repetitive but it's still very good. In my opinion, IF you were to use this song in a game, I would recommend you to make shorter and simpler versions of this song so when you finally reach to the climax or something, you could bust this song out.

So let's talk about the song itself. I felt like the small drops in this track doesn't feel hard enough. I don't like how this song is uncomfortable to listen to, but if your aim is to make the listener feel this way, then well done for you. I feel like this song in the right setting can really set the tone so well. But this song really doesn't feel like my cup of tea. It's not a song I would leisurely listen too.

I'm more of a 'feel good' guy, so I would rather like to see a more upbeat version of this tune. I feel like this song could really be something if you make a few changes to. Nonetheless, after hearing this piece, I still have that good feeling in me and I look forward to see what you'll bring to the table in the future.

SlashBolt1 responds:

Yea, this song isn't what you'd be looking for if you want something upbeat. xD
As for repetitive, yes, the song is meant to be extremely repetitive. In retrospect it did come out more repetitive than I wanted it to. The few small drops were meant to be those climaxes, and everything else is supposed to be gradual change, which I feel personally was done alright.
And for emotion, all of my tracks I try to put some deep feeling into them, this one being hope within a dire situation. Sure, if you don't listen to trance on a daily basis, fine by me, everyone has their own tastes.
Thanks though, nice to get some good feedback. ^.^

I'm going to be very critical, if the song is for a game it would be VERY BAD, the song if you listen becomes annoying and stuns, your previous song is bad (a lot) and it does not keep changing badly, but this definitely goes down a path that does not you want, the amount of sounds that are few become repetitive and annoying (MUCH) and I do not think it would fit well for any stage of a game, but keep trying

SlashBolt1 responds:

As far as I know, the game that is being created is an RPG-based game, so I'd beg to differ. I wish you actually commented on the song itself versus what the song might be used for. Though I know you didn't know what type of game, I can see where you'd be coming from. I would not want this in a platformer or kart racer or something like that. In addition, this is also a song, not just for a game. To see someone hate a song for it's possible use rather than the song itself, I just believe that you might need to look deeper than just the outside.
