This is pretty good. Although, there's always room for improvement, like more lyrics, voice levelling/pitch etc. Solid 4.5 Stars (:
This is the first, chronologically, of my recordings at Soundskills, the studio / creative place where I lend my musical and artistic capabilities. This is a rehash of a song posted on my old YouTube channel (TroisNyxEtienne), recorded with almost entirely live instruments. I had waited for a year and three quarters before finally publishing this piece.
Considering I've put up a Soundskills-recorded piece onto Newgrounds before this, I thought I'd do this again so long as it's properly cited. This is an extension of my solo work after all, just now, brought into the Soundskills band which, at the time, was not named.
Roles:
Troisnyx: Composer / Vocals / Keyboard / Drums
Greg Slater: Lead Guitar / Rhythm Guitar
Jason Beardsworth: Bass Guitar
Dan Squires: Mixing
------
LYRICS:
Somewhere out there I see a shining star
Waiting out in the night for all to see
What can I wish?
What can I hope for?
All I can do is tell myself
That one day, somewhere out there
Something good is happening somewhere out there
Someone's waiting to make my dreams come true
Somewhere out there I hear of something new
Dawning upon me, taking all my breath away
When will I see the sun shining down on me?
All I can do is tell myself
That one day somewhere out there
Something good is happening somewhere out there
Someone's waiting to make my dreams come true

Groovy ;)
I agree with MithyxSounds. that guitar is pure beauty.
also, your singing is amazing!! better than I could probably ever do... I'm more of a Chainsmokers-style musician though... always getting people to sing rather than me lol
the classification is perfect. this is very funky
5/5 (as usual)
all my 5 stars ;)
A good coffee shop music. Good atmosphere for having a meal with friends. Easy listening to the 5/5. I'm not sure why, but there is a slight flatness to the lady's voice, but it only bothers my mother, not me. I like the rhythm of her song and dance with everything else in trance. Smooth. Trance-inducing. Meditative, Relaxing.
The lady's voice is mine, by the way ^_^ Glad you like it. Yeah, now that you mention it, yeah, it sounds like coffee shop jazz.
I'm killed. Shot right in the heart and died bleeding. This is soooo charming.
Eeee, cheers ^_^
