Wow! Amazing! Can I use it in gd? (geometry dash)
I've been listening to a lot of Tosin Abasi and Animals as Leaders lately, so I've really gotten into prog (not just Dream Theater) and just had to do something similar in one of my compositions.
Although, just like the name "Djaunt" says, I wanted this to have some nice djent elements too. (Despite it being a slowly dying fad).
So I just decided to do some nice polyrythmic patterns in the rhythm and bass guitars.
Also: spontaenously I wanted to improvise one part, which ended up to be the solo around the 1:15 time mark.
Tonewise, I've let off the high treble a little bit, on both my leads and rhythm tones and went down the slightly honky and warm sound, leaving some more room for the cymbals.
I wasn't afraid to use shelves this time. It's supposed to be taboo but boosting the higher and lower frequencies that are mostly inaudible helped me worked out a better overall tone.
Started to use reference tracks more often too.
Speaking of references: there's a few melodic hints for songs that inspired some of the things that are going in Djaunt, here.
Like for example: FamilyJules' - 'Tesla Toil' or 'Trial of Thunder' from the album Aria Awakened
Alright that's it from me!
Hope it sounds alright!
Enjoy!
Comments are much appreciated. Wanna hear what you guys think :)

Sure thing! Go right ahead!
Thanks, man :)
Nice.
I hardly ever listen to metal on Audio Portal, but that song is great! :)
Thanks, man!
I'm always trying to give my metal songs a more of a versatile sound to them...
just so they don't sound like this underground, hipster genre that metal is :D
Glad to hear you like it.
Thanks again, dude!
It's badass, dude! Totally dig it!
Thank you so much for the kind words!
I really appreciate it! :)
