Irdk why this song sounds funny for me... You need to improwe, but for a beginner thats good. %)
Well, between last night and today I had a super huge breakthrough. I didn't compose anything lately because I was brought down by reasons I won't bother to explain but I finally figured out most of my problems.
When I was trying to compose .:Superhero:. I wanted to use Gross Beat for the drop. However, all it kept doing was giving the effect to the whole track. Well, when I composed this one I realized that if I set the synth to (Insert _) go to (Insert _) on the mixer, THEN choose Gross Beat, it will add it to only Insert _! So I wanted to compose something to test this out. Because I learned how inserts work on the mixer, I gave different inserts different mastering. So now instead of the full track having the same filters, equalization, and volume they all have different effects. Now hopefully the drums don't overlap the sound of the synth. And the best part, the rendering never got screwed up.
This song used a total of 15 patterns and took a few hours. Just this once I cheated and used Gross Beat's presets, next time I'll be more original. The track might be a bit quiet since it was mastered around -7db, so if I get complaints it's too quiet I can up the volume. This also is pretty short since it's still an experiment, if people like it I might make an XL version if I get enough interest. I really want to call this dubstep since it is 140 BPM and HOPEFULLY it's a 2-step beat as well but the drop isn't so wobbly but eh.
Listen and review!
