Alpha - This is the End (WarriorTrone x Alpha VIP)

So, this isn't really my first collab but it is my first collab on my portal. In freaking December of last year WarriorTrone said "hey let's make a VIP of this" and I'm like "cool, alright". 8 months later we pump out this XD

Here's what each of us did: WT made the main bass for both the first and second drop. I made every other bass for the first drop (except that obvious VR sample). I composed the first drop, he composed the second drop. I made the build-ups. A couple presets were used, but that's normal every now and then, right? Oh also, WarriorTrone made the snare.

Probably my first submission in 2017 that's mixed woaj. The mix on this is probably terrible, just letting you know in case you say "the mix on this thing was much better >:(" that's probably because that thing wasn't mixed. I think the mix during the drop isn't that bad though, it reminds me of winter, and that was kinda the theme in the original.

Hopefully the mixdown is finally soft. I lowered the master volume so it shouldn't be earsplitting. If it is, well idk what the hell is wrong with my computer.

Anyways, we'd both appreciate it if you could review this track. We're always looking for guidance on how to make our production better.

Other than that, I hope you like this track. I'm doing a couple other collabs with WarriorTrone, and unless we decide to VIP one of my other tracks they will probably all be on his profile: thedubsteptronic.newgrounds.com/

Credit goes to both of us, so if you want to remix (contact me if you want to and I can give you the stems) or use this track you have to include both of our NG links.

The slightly changed melodies from the original are quite cool, and i really like the snare, the riser is interesting. Overral the off drop is good the transition from the build up zo the drop was quite smooth especially in the second drop. The drops themselves are probably my least favourite parts of the song. The first drop sounded kinda cool at first, but sometimes the melody i think you were going for got drowned out by the reverb. I also kinda miss the orchestral part from the original. The sevond was a bit repetetive and i didnt like the wobble in the second half of it but the way it faded out was cool. Overral i think that this wasnt bad but it wasnt that great either.

BlueAlpha14 responds:

Ye. Unfortunately I had to use the same lead to get the same pitch.
The melody during the first drop was only supposed to be subbass. It's like, you hear a song and you know there's flavor in there, but you don't hear it.
^I'm sorry, that's not my best explaination XD
Well the orchestral part was a preset and according to the majority it was extremely repetitive, can't please everyone.
Second drop was made by WarriorTrone, so I can't respond in favor of him.

Awesome stuff dude! New fan coming at ya

BlueAlpha14 responds:

Thanks ^^

I love the pressure changes and the low deep dubstep I'm not used to hearing. It's actually real interesting, I made the same thing happen, but I was used to hearing other octaves instead, but it pulls off nicely if you know how to do it right. :D

BlueAlpha14 responds:

That's what happens when you mix and don't know what you're doing XD I'm super glad you find this track interesting. It lets us know we should collab more often.

We mostly used 2 and 3 octaves. I'm not a big fan of high pitched octaves.

This is dupstep cool

BlueAlpha14 responds:

Yes indeed it is "dupstep" lol
