This is an NGADM 2015 Review.

This is a really nice, chill house track. Reminds me a lot of OcularNebula. Unfortunately, despite good production and some enjoyable chords, the length of your track really brought it down in the end.

I really like a lot about it, though; especially the crisp, clean percussion and heavy bass. The sidechaining is nice as well. Great atmospheric work through reverb, nice lead sounds, honestly great stuff. I feel this track could have been a lot, with some more structure and length, obviously. It’s hard to judge it on anything more than its production in its current form, though, unfortunately. To your credit, as mentioned, the production is really good :P

8.5/10 (my score in the thread is wrong, sorry. I think it wasn’t changed because doing so wouldn’t have actually change the outcome.)

NGADM Review:

So really, there is nothing bad to say about this track, it's just that it's one minute long which i had to take off a lot of points for. In comparison to a complete 3-4 minute track with emotional buildups and drops, I can't really give this a complete score :/

I reallllly was hoping for something big from you, but computer issues can suck... Honestly though, this is probably your best work in terms of production. I really enjoyed what I heard in this so far. I can tell you absolutely improved a ton through NGADM, and I really look forward to hearing what else you come up with in the future. Keep up the good work :)

Agh, I hate it when you submit short/unfinished stuff like this. I can definitely empathise with you on the writer's block/technical issues (to be honest, those are the main reasons why I don't think I'd take part in an NGADM if I weren't busy hosting it haha), but at the same time it's certainly a disappointment to see all that wasted potential, especially after the beast of a track you churned out for the last round.

Having said that, it'd be a heresy to leave this unfinished. There's an unexpectedly large amount of atmosphere in what you've presented here, no doubt thanks to your copious use of reverb/delay. The sounds/synths in particular are all extremely pleasant to listen to, and on top of that the production has to be some of the tightest you've given us so far! The part at 0:30 sounds so crisp, and that bass in particular is absolutely great. Melodically, this also doesn't fall short, but it's essentially a set of rhythmically-similar melodic phrases repeated a bunch of times. It definitely lays the foundation for a ton of awesome melodic development, though!

I've run out of things to say for this. It's unfinished, no doubt, and, as much as I'd have liked to reflect a compensation for that in my score, I'm afraid I had to dock a lot of points. Make no mistake that this is the start to something great, but it has a way to go before it gets there. Either way, it's been a pleasure having you in the contest!

I thought this was pretty decently cool when I started listening to it, and then that drum fill and the awesome bass hit, and I was pretty blown away. I would love to hear this develop more.

I doubt this will win, but if it were developed more this would be a pretty damn serious contender.
