To begin, this is quite a strong return; do you make these from sheet music, or by ear? It matches with the melody of the original quite well, with only the instrumentation and speed changed a little. My one real criticism is that — it feels only a little too fast. The original is perhaps too relaxed to be suitable for an intense battle, and this does improve on that quite a bit with its greater intensity of instrumentation, though the song itself would, if I were to offer my thoughts to the developers, have been more suited for some kind of introductory or friendly rival battle than a gym leader. As a piece of music, this one gives me impressions of circles and spheres, though it is difficult to say exactly why; the part that begins at 0:03 feels as if it were going round and round, I suppose.
I find the difference of instrumentation between this and the original piece rather intriguing; Kalos is, as I am sure you know, based on France, and themed around beauty, but this feels a bit more like it belongs in Sinnoh, Johto, or Isshu, except in the complexity of its composition. This is not really bad, but it was unexpected, and actually rather enjoyable, since it makes me think of what I might call "classic" Pokémon (though I am, generally, of the mind that many of the changes that have been made with succeeding generations are improvements, even if I do not always like the new designs).
Overall, well done; other than the speed, which is very minor, I can find little to fault you for here.
