Where is my theme song?!?!?! Jk Jk :P This is a really interesting piece dude. It is elegant and while it is simplistic it has a subtle undertone that drives it forward. Super cool. This has to be one of my favorite songs of yours :)
This is a theme song made for a very special droogie of mine. It is, I suppose, what I hear in my head when I think of him and how smart he is. If I ever had a friend who would save the world with his wit, smarts and patience, it would be Sir Z. But saving the world is a burden not to be taken lightly, and only he is up to the task. I just supply his background music.
I used Edirol orchestral and FLStudios for this. I also used small parts of the 8bit sounds I make from scratch using the 3osc tool.
It is short and abrupt, I know, but I felt this was necessary for his theme, as he is not flashy and prefers simplicity.
There is no percussion because he specifically asked for it not to be there, as well as no brass (odd, because I wasn't going to put these into his theme anyway, it wouldn't make sense with who he is). I substituted percussion by making the velocity very high on many of the piano notes, thus adding a boom of sorts.
Enjoy yaa.
