Mikrokosmos 23

Share

Author Comments

This is an orchestration of Bartok's Mikrokosmos #23 ("Imitation and Inversion"). Mikrokosmos is a large set of progressively difficult pieces for solo piano.

It was made in Cubase Essential 5 using the East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra VST.

The image was made in Bryce 7.1. Download it here: http://bentibbetts.net/storage/2015-06-22%20mikrokosmos%2023%20art%203.bmp

LOL Mikrokosmos. Playing them on the piano, I absolutely disliked them due to their sometimes weird techniques and dissonances.

But you made it sound so good :D

I feel like your horn and flute sounds a bit too overwhelming (loud?) at times.

Anyways, Bela Bartok. Something you don't find too much nowadays.

BenTibbetts responds:

I'm glad you enjoyed it. :) Yes, many of the dissonances in the Bartok's music sound really weird and unpredictable.
