If you haven't studied music theory I would definitely do that, it helps you understand what music structure is about and what chords and melodies work well together. Looking up tutorials for mastering , equalizing and sound design help too. If you need any tips I can most certainly share my knowledge. If you don't already play piano I would also try taking it up. Nothing has helped me understand music more than starting with piano. I used to play guitar in a rock band but when I took up electronic music I never looked back. Nothing is more rewarding than hearing someone give you positive feedback on something you worked long and hard on. A lot of big artists out there don't really share their knowledge of music production so it leaves us novices to fend for yourself. That's why I like to give back to the best of my ability if anyone wants to learn. Peace and love.
