Well shit, I don't even know where to start.

This one's inspired by a lot, including a heavy influence on the games and movies that were coming out when I first started lurking in 07'-08' . The second half of the There she is! series, Nin10Doh!, Legend of Miyamoto, Achievement Unlocked, Shift - All of these projects were all lighthearted in nature and a ton of fun to watch and play. I'm also headed off to college so that's a huge factor in the way this sounds and turned out. I hope you guys enjoy this as much as I enjoyed writing it.

This would be for the Good Ending Category.

I like it! Very creative! A lot of intelligent sections and different parts happening as well. This is just fun to listen to even after multiple listens. This certainly keeps my interest throughout. The piano melody although short is quite tasteful. Great guitar work and chordal movements. lol and the dissonant notes played at the middle and end of each phrase makes me smile--good stuff. The bass at 3:00 is a nice touch for an ominous sound but it quickly dissipates because after all, this is for a good ending. I suppose you can't have a good ending without reflecting what it took to get there within the "game."
So my one complaint is the choice in timbre of the horn parts. I think recording it live will help this tremendously and then you're golden.

Nimble responds:

Hey Phono, Thanks for listening! I'm totally working on getting live horns for this one, just need to get my buddy here for a day so we can record them. I already have a couple parts tracked myself but I gotta have him here too since he plays trombone and I play trumpet. gotta have them harmonies :^) Glad you liked it though! :D

Interesting. I'm not sure how I feel about the trumpets or such. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped, but about a minute in, it feels more organized, I do like the melody throughout though. Feels like a nice ending. It's interesting this could also work as stage music imo. Reminds me of music like from Chrono Trigger kinda and Final Fantasy 7. It's not as striking as your other pieces imo, but not bad, it's nice. Keep up the good work.

Nimble responds:

Thanks RF! I'll look into spreading some things out a bit, I realize they might be too close together. The brass section is a beast I'm going to try recording live instruments for, so that might be cool. I appreciate the listen, and am flattered to be compared to composers like Uematsu and Mitsuda. :D
