fearing made this cool track (Hot Mode) where he bounced the parts onto cassette and re-recorded them -- sounded cool as fuck. I wanted to rip that off, but I didn't have a tape player or anything, so I found this plug-in called FerricTDS, cranked it on the master, added Fruity Phaser (used the Subtle preset) and got this weird shit going on.

Got FL Rhodes + portamento (the thing I normally do for my g-funk synth) and added the Ferric, plus the Fruity Phaser on the stomp it preset -- got this mellotron organ sound going.

Also, it uses Harmor. 3 presets -- analogue bass, laser scissor (for the chords), and keybit (for the harpsichord sounding thing)

Definitely some Hotline Miami influence going on in here.

aw shit -- my headphones were half way in while I was mixing it and I didn't notice. How's the bass? Too loud? Muddy? I might George Lucas it later if it's bad.

0:16 Bass feels a bit too clipped in my opinion maybe too compressed. Kind of like how my leads are dry lol
0:35 It is a bit distorted but that might just be how it's supposed to be. Still sounds good though
0:46 I do like that little phased guitar riff in the back.
1:13 That lick in the back is quite pretty
1:20 That cry. Pretty interesting. I like.The ambience of this is very strong. Super strong ambience

First time using FerricTDS, so I guess I went overboard with everything. I kinda dig the way the bass sounds, even if it's overpowering as all hell. I only mix using headphones, so maybe through speakers it sounds like doodooberries, but I'll never know, haha.

I used to shit on over-compression all the time, but now, it's a way of life. I'll never go back. Not a fan of babysitting the volume knob while listening to jazz or Mahler. Thanks for the review!

The sound design on this sound is... amazing, the chords are just... Man, Really, I can't express why I'm diging so much for the song, well for you songs in general, it really uses the effects I wanted to do, the guitar sampling, the Fx used, the LFO, I downloaded it, and made it one of my favorite, this one is IMPRESSINGLY great, adding it to my Ipod, Great job sports!

Wow, thanks! I don't think there's any LFO going on with any of the instruments, though. Not that I'm aware of. Maybe the Harmor presets have that going on, but I didn't really investigate that. I just thought, well, they sound cool, in they go! Thanks for the review, I appreciate it.
