Where am I going?

As Kwing said, I get a very Nujabes feel from this, albeit without the Low Pass Filter Jun usually used.

That sample sounds like it's a low quality MP3.

Is that due to the filter that's being applied?

With the drums, it fits, but it would have been better if you'd have continued with the b section in the second half.

Perhaps some scratches on some vocals for a hook, then go back with a bit of differentiation in the beat during the second verse.

As it stands, this isn't horrible; It just needs to be fleshed out some more. :)

DJDureagon responds:

There are several filters being applied but the sample is definitely muddy and lacking in detail. as much as i would love to mess with something higher quality I am not apposed to this sounding one dimensional as long as i can add enough to it to make it sound.. fun? i guess.

All good and true points. I really enjoy this kind of feedback. It's the reason i post up my tunes in this site really.

This has a very Nujabes feel to it. As a whole it feels very complete and relaxing. Not sure how it could be made better, seems great the way it is.

DJDureagon responds:

It can be loads better but thanks for the comment. I dont know about a nujabes feel. I have a problem nailing "feel" in music.

Sounds great man, would like to hear it with the percussion a little lower, maybe another set of drums? but it is awesome as it is

DJDureagon responds:

lower? hmm.. ok. This is what i get for mixing without proper monitors.
