This multi-movement rock opera is comprised of six unique sections: “The Beginning,” “Freedom,” “Order,” “Battle,” “Nightmare,” and “The End.” Together, they aurally chronicle the conflict between a free spirited rebel and a totalitarian government that attempts to oppress him. Ultimately, the rebel is defeated, and the government expands its reach across the world. The piece was first composed in Finale, then exported into Logic; in the audio workstation, the instruments were brought to life with effects and alterations, such as the doubling of thematic material in new instruments. A few of the guitar sounds were recorded live, representing the free spirit of the rebel, but these are eventually taken over by the processed sounds that dominate the song.
