Think rolling waves, a single palm tree, and smooth white sand. I did. Then I wrote this.
I can really imagine an old man with his dog sitting in his chair and watching the scene you are describing while the sun is setting. When he's gone, nobody will remember him, but in that moment it doesn't matter to him. The moment is just perfect and he completely enjoys life.
