Too much high-frequency sound effects / treble. Add more bass, and boom - you've got yourself a great song.

I've always loved the melody from Wildflower by Killigrew. The dude is pretty damn good at making some deeeep melodies.
I decided to have a go at making a remix of this one since I'm having huge creators block every time I try and make a new melody.
