Cloud Nine (Summerlust Remix)

EDIT: Just realized, the bass progression is SERIOUSLY lacking. Like, I COMPLETELY focused on my chord progression and then slapped a beat on it. Absolutely terrible. I'll shall work on this in my next song.

Hey guys! After finally getting over my writer's block, I made this!

A remix of Technoplasmatic's "Summerlust."

It really inspired me, and although it's not summer down here anymore, I still wanted to make this.

I hope it sounds a lot fuller than my song Overdose. I'm hoping to get better at that.

Also, I'm beginning to realize that everybody has a different sound output on their computer, speakers, heaadphones, etc, so the song will sound different to everyone. Plus, when I play it through Newgrounds compared to Windows Media Player, there's large contrast in quality.

Nonetheless, enjoy guys! ^~^

I think youve created a proper dance track over here. The mario samples mingle so well with the atmosphere.

I liked how professional your quality is, lots of highs in there, and the mids are just right. As for the kicks I do feel like they are lacking that certain "umph" get me?

Gotta make theyre eardrums shake in the club right? I feel like this would be the perfect amount of kick for a hiphophead like me though.

Awesome flip with the mario samples, im feelin itt!

Yes, and beautiful chord prog, I think punchy is better for a dance track.

Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it! I always did adore using Mario samples despite how overused they are. XD I always do my best to keep everything in high quality and evenly balanced. Gotta keep it clean, ya know?

You wouldn't believe how hard I worked on those chord progressions. I literally spent about 2 hours or so learning scales. After that, I put what I learned to the test! And funny, your outlook on the kick is the complete opposite of the guy below. XD He said it's too punchy, you said it's not punchy enough. Frankly, I agree with you. A dance song normally has a punchy kick to keep the energy rolling.

Thanks for the review my good man!~ ^~^

the mario samples sound good and go well with the track, ill give you that, but they ARE really overrated. i found that out when i heard it in alot of video game dubstep remixes.

the kick could've sound better, it would honestly make the track if it did. It just sounds like it needs to be more dulness. it sounds really punchy.

nice chord progression, it's an overall happy themed track.

Exilious responds:

Thanks man! I'm glad you liked it. ^~^
