The Fall of Halberd

Hey folks!

This is a track I did a while back for the Harmony of Heroes fan-arrangement album, which is available for download right now at www.harmonyofheroes.net !

I'm really quite proud of this song, if only for the mere SCOPE of the track. I ended up getting a total number of NINE absolutely ASTOUNDING musicians for this, and they assuredly WRECKED the place with their performance.

But don't take my words, take a listen for yourself and let me know what you think!

Trumpet: Félix Rheault

Trombone: Jérôme Boisvert

Alto Sax: Hugo Choquette

Tenor Sax: Philippe Brochu

Baritone Sax: Shawn Rinkenbach

Keyboards: Félix Rioux

Guitar: Émile Caron

Bass: Samuel Brassard

Drums: Patrick Bureau

Smash Bros original track name: Halberd

Originally composed by: Jun Ishikawa

Thanks for listening, and I hope you enjoy!

i've never played furby but this song is good

Great composition amd melody in this one. Funky! :)

camoshark responds:

Thanks Robert, I'm glad you enjoy it! :)

Masahiro Sakurai would be so proud. How come this doesnt have more views?

camoshark responds:

Hey Wegra, you just made my evening! ^_______^

For real though, that's probably one of the most flattering comments I've received in recent memory, and it turned a terrible evening into an enjoyable one, so thank you very much. :)

To answer your question, I guess it probably is due to the fact that people were flooded by all the AMAZING content made for Harmony of Heroes, and might simply not had the occasion to take a listen to a lesser-known track.

That, or maybe I just don't have that much of a fanbase! ^^'

In any case, thanks again for the very kind words, it's the kind of stuff that helps justify the work I put into it! :)

This is simply amazing. The brass composition is insane.

camoshark responds:

Hah, thanks man, I'm glad you liked it! :)

Writing it was the easy part, the hard part was finding players brave enough to record it and to set a recording schedule with the whole section! :P
