Hey, first work of the year!

This is the first piece done as a collab with SuperSteph54 who contacted me saying he enjoyed my songs, and wanted to help me realise their full potential.

So here is Stroll on Tenth Avenue, a song I originally made a few years ago, but posted it here last year. It got a decent amount of popularity, with a few remixes here and there, but I never really thought much of the song because it sounded terrible...
I never thought it would sound anything like it sounds today, and I owe it all to the guy who believed in me, so thanks for everything Steph, and I hope this will be the first of many!

Anyways, enough with the thanks, let's move to the song. The song itself evoques those cheesy detective movies you've seen in the past, hopefully those a bit less cheesy ones.

'nuff said, please Rate, Review, Comment and Enjoy!

Amazing track my man.
The part that really made me enjoy it for how much I did was the beginning bass line, felt real nice listening to that.
Like SCTE3 said, reminds me of 'outlaw' sort of music, at first anyway, I think of a western. But when it gets going more, it just feels like sitting in a club, and having the band play their music while you're having a few drinks. Really good stuff.

I wish it were a bit longer though, it has great potential if it were to be a full song man... I'd say if you still have interest in doing it.. Do it!
Production was great, everything sounded incredible man... Love your submissions that I have heard so far.

camoshark responds:

Thanks alot, goes straight to the heart! :)

As for the outlaw feel, that was exactly what I was aiming for, so I guess I did it right!

Thanks again, great reviews and I hope to hear more from you!

Outlaw music

It sounds very jazzy but kind of has that outlaw feel like a new person just entered town and everyone finds them shady since they don't fit in just yet. At the same time it kind of reminds me of the second town I go to in Pokemon Colosseum as it had this kind of music playing except far more faster and jazzy as well.

The bass, drums, and strings all come together and make a very nice sounding piece of work to me. Very nice work that you have done here, keep it up. Good luck on future pieces.

Smoky film-noir greaser

Hey camoshark,

The overall sound of this song is full and nice to hear. There are some interesting dynamics I particularly liked about the production, for example the acoustic guitar. I wasn't sure whether that was panned to the right, but it had that nice "off-to-the-side" vibe to it, but not without alienating the user.

Stroll on Tenth Avenue brings nice espionage-esque feelings with it. The combination of the soulful brass with the smooth'n'easy basslines creates that fantastic spy-like vibe.

Very jazzy, almost as if you're watching a film in black-and-white. The Shiva flute was a nice variance in the song, to add a bit of melody, and also to bring that oriental flavour to the piece.

--Wow Factor--
You always bring that masterful touch of composing to your songs, and this is no different. Supersteph's knowledge also comes in handy in bringing your songs from dry form to adding all the effects and stuff, I think. It's nice.

--Personal Tilt--
Refreshing. A very jazzy feel about it that portrays the feeling of secrecy and film-noir. I see that you've likened it to a detective story, and you pull that off with aplomb. Need I say more? Very smoky, beautifully composed song. Thanks for letting me listen.

--Production-- = 17/20
--Experience-- = 19/20
--Style-- = 20/20
--Wow Factor-- = 15/20
--Personal Tilt-- = 16/20

camoshark responds:

Hey Benny, nice hearing for you, sorry about not replying in the last few weeks, wasn't really into replying, even thought I read your other reviews.

Also, sorry about your account loss (or password loss for that matter).

Anyways, review :

Thanks for doing what you do, I always enjoy structured reviews. Speaking of wich, I also see you modified your structuring, wich is also a good thing, I guess!

One detail I notice most of the time is that my rating for the wow factor always stagnates around 15/20, wich bugs me a bit. For that, I'm asking you: How can I upgrade this score?

Thanks again for the thorough review, it's helping me get better and better every week!
