PWD - Psychedelic wave dreams

Here is my first entry to the A.i.m Contest. There are good entries out there, check them out! Here is a link to the thread:

This song is very weird in my opinion. The odd time signatures, the weird progression. This is progressive experimental instrumental I would say. There is also some hard 70s rock and progressive rock with some harder rock.

**PS: no drugs were taken in making of this song

Thanks Trez-Treize for the artwork. Check out his artwork. Here is a link to the art:

Here are some detailed description. This is only my opinion, so if you want to have your own do not read following text:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

0:00-0:30

The fog/clouds moves away as the bizarre structure shows itself. The movements and color is changing with the music.

0:30-0:42

The shapes distorts out like waves while the colors blinks in different colors. The shapes moves like no one can describe, as if it hasn't been discovered yet.

0:42-0:57

Things speeds up towards the horizon. Structures goes by so fast you cannot recall the details. The whole view changes color each beat.

0:57-1:08

The horizon spins around and forms a drain. You gets sucked in the tiny glimmer at the end.

1:08-1:44

As you fall downwards you see live colorful pictures fly by as it could be moments from your life, or others, who can tell...

1:44-2:22

You hit a comfy bubble that pushes you further on. The skies lights up with auroras. Laser beam skines from the horizon and lights up a song for you.

0:22-2:34

A huge cloud hits your face and everything gets fuzzy.

2:34-2:55

In the fog you see human like shapes that dance around you as you try to get out. They are changing colors rapidly.

2:55-3:43

You hit a speeder and falls on an other speeder that takes you fast towards the horizon. This time the world looks like an highway through huge skyscrapers and in between.

3:43-5:00

You fly further without any help of the speeder. The landscape opens as you fly into a bright shining light at the horizon.

For some reason the song is displayed as been 03:58 minutes long. That is wrong. It should end around 5 min. I apologize for any misunderstanding, as English is not my first language.

Omg, that description!

this could be great for a battle theme

Aah, progressive. This totally reminds me of The Black Mages because it's the kind of sound that could well fit in a video game like Persona (Shin Megami Tensei), but it also tries to go beyond that formula and provide an experience that is not just confined to the realm of video games. Might have been the rock organ that feels both incredibly vintage and modern in a way that it brings a smile to your face while headbanging.

It's a very enjoyable track with an ever-changing structure and extensive solo work as you would expect from a prog piece. I feel dynamics to be a little tight, the drums and organ in particular, as they don't really leave much breathing space to the other instruments and they're compressed to the point they're very present in the mid and high frequencies, with plenty of crash cymbals in the way. The guitar on the other hand is well mastered and has plenty of oomph throughout the whole song. You may consider this as mere nitpicking if you wish, because the song itself already stands tall on its own feet.

Great job

This is just so damn good! You are really talanted! Love it! Reminds me alot of Ryu Okumoto's solo album and of a band from my area called Beardfish! :)
No doubt in giving this 5 Stars!! Great job!

I love it! Lots of cool, interesting stuff going, really has that nice proggy feel to it. Subbed, and can't wait to hear more!

Nice work Warhector! as Realfaction said this would be awesome for a boss fight.
It reminded me of Kansas aswell and a bit of Deep Purple too. I love those organs man!
Good job!

Warhector responds:

Thank you Mattashi! It's popular comment is it would be great as a Boss Fight Music (BFM). Could be a genre in here! The organs is real (kinda) hammond organ and I am huge fan of Jon Lord, Keith Emerson (recently) and Jordan Rudess. Which inspires me to get better at keyboard/piano playing! I'm glad you liked it man. Cheers!
