Man that's beautiful... <3
Just a quick recording I did with the new awesome microphones I just got that I'll be using for sampling projects (huge thanks to everyone who has donated/bought a virtual instrument from me/Versilian Studios). These little mics really did a great job, and I can't wait to get going on more samples!
But for now- just a little medievaly/renaissance thing on recorder because I am bored and I happened to have my alto recorder with me to test out the sound. Enjoy! As always, feel free to leave any feedback/comments, or if you want, adapt the melody into your own piece.

Thanks. :)
Recorder is a type of flute. And one of my favorite instruments. That's the instrument that I started out on. :D Nice harmonies. Appetite has been whetted.
Technically it's a type of flute, but it shouldn't be mistaken with the transverse flute, as it is very very different in sound, range, and dynamics (or lack thereof). :P
Hopefully as I learn to play them more I will be able to create more recordings.
Very beautiful sound Samulis! :)
It reminds me of Princess Mononoke's soundtrack!
I'm still learning, but I am indeed getting there with the sound! :)
Really enjoyed this - to hear recorders has become quite rare these days. Sometimes i think the recorder is played with a little to much pressure. Also i would insert a fast passage in medieval style. What do you think about making a medieval piece together? I am thinking of hurdy-gurdy, recorders, harp and old drumsets? For the climax we could insert a cathedral toccata organ with quite much reverb with dark choir and then fade back to the origin mood. Would be cool? We also could use your tubulars! Greetings good master sam!
We should really do that man... after my recorder and sackbut chops improve... ;)
I'd realy like to know how you are planning to utilize your newfound powers... You'll flute us to death? :D

I find the authenticity of the flutes to be absolutely amazing and
Uh... Recorder? :P
I was very pleased with the new mics. They did a great job capturing the real sound of the recorder.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
