I enjoyed listening to this but I have to admit I didn't enjoy it as much as your previous stuff.
This valley hasn't seen rain in hundreds of years, but its surface is marked with ruins...

I think it's because you prefer my more 'fun' pieces and this one is pretty serious. It's also possibly because I might be a little better at fun pieces. And what is actually probably the real reason: When I was writing the solo in seething (for instance) I pretty much didn't think about it and wrote it all in one go. In this solo it took me a long time to calculate it out and do exactly what I 'thought' it should do... and music is one of those things where intuition usually beats out calculation.
Reduce the reverb on the intro a bit it makes it too muddy. The lead is beautiful though.
Bass is simple but it works. I would use something a little deeper but it works. From the chorus, there should be a breakdown like a simple white noise but that is just me. I like what you did with the snare too. Reminds me i should stop being lazy on my beats XD
Everything from there is cool though 2:34 is a bit muddy. Reduce the volume on those chords maybe .
Nice little clip here. You should try to maybe add some variation in synths to make it a bit more interesting.
Thanks man. I think you hit on a lot of things that were kinda surfacing in my mind. Happy you liked the beat - some guys were commenting on my old song that my beats needed some variation, so I decided to make a more complex pattern here. I really need to work on muddiness next.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
