Let's go on a time traveling adventure! :D

Some notes:

* Man I worked really hard on all the different pattern variations and stuff. My goal was to get something that felt like it was repetitive enough to feel like a jam, but varied enough to stay interesting and catch new details every time you listened to it.

* I mean, 'subtle details' has always kind of been my forte but I feel like this song has an extra amount of fun little ideas in it. Watch how the melodies change and evolve over time, and then reference other melodies and stuff.

* I feel like I took a lot more attention to sound design than I usually do. Like I felt like the sound design choices for it all felt really natural, rather than trying to 300 IQ it like I usually do by crossreferencing 600 tracks of similar styles (and having it still not work out lol)

* All the reverb is @ethansight inspired haha. I love how his songs have so much reverb and feel so rich with texture. Something I wish I could pull off better.

* My favorite little thing is the 6 note melody at 3:49 lol. I don't know why, it just sounds cool.

* I basically worked on this song nonstop on the last day before the pixel day deadline. I swear I nearly died. By the end I was thinking "I dont just hate listening to this song. I hate listening to ALL MUSIC." Fortunately that has mostly worn off. Mostly...

I like how the bass and funky synth at the beginning outline the progression before the pads and drums come in. I'm hearing some classic glitchiness at :48, and the groovy melodies at 1:08 really hit the spot. The drums weren't quite as prominent in the mix as I wanted them to be in some places, though. That said, I really like how you've alternated between the energetic and mellow sections of the piece. The solo at 2:25 makes the pacing of the entire middle section work super well, and overall I'd say your attention to sound design here has totally paid off. Hope to hear more from you in 2022, and sorry I was so slow to drop a review here - grad school and such. ^_^

So funky, I love it :D

This is splendid! I'm scouting resources for a non-commercial game jam project, can I use this tune?
