A fun little piece I wrote as an audition for a commission that got turned down... I really liked how it turned out, so I figured I'd post it up here and let folks find a free use for it.

Feel free to give feedback or tell me what sort of imagery it gives you.

Thanks. I'm definitely using this. Me and my friends from college are making a Flash game and we were in need of a good battletrack for fighting Darklin, he's something of a dark demon, lord type dude, so we thought this fits his mood. The horns, the drums, the overall atmosphere of this track indeed feels warlike to me and also gives me some kind of Star Wars like feel somehow; with the horns and such. Indeed a really catchy boss theme :D Maybe you could make a longer version?

samulis responds:

I'll be going away for a week starting this weekend and I already have a plate full of projects to do before then, but if you want to wait a week, I would gladly add a bit more... Only issue is, I'm not much into this style right now, so it might not be the cleanest continue.

Most heroes are gifted with powers. And a rare few are chosen by the gods to be their champion. But not you. You're the other guy, the so called Average Joe. You're raised like any normal human being, trained to fight like a normal human being. Yet you struggled & bested many of these gifted ones. Now you faced the gods themselves. This isn't just a fight for survival. This is a fight to earn the right of deciding your own fate, to live as you will, and not the will of the gods.

samulis responds:

it is a rather dark/hopeless sounding fight, thanks for sharing your interpretation.

The intro, you can lose what sound like horns.
Other then that, your piece is very catchy!

samulis responds:

The rips or the gliss down? I personally think the glisses are one of the best parts, but each to their own, eh? :D

No worries, I steer away from crazy horn stuff mainly... this piece was a lot of experimenting.
