Energy -- Flow

Aha, school and other responsibilities have bogged me down for too long!

I now present to you...

...way too many solos! Of low quality as well!

Seriously though, this was the hardest song to come up with a story/representation for ever, and it's not really that amazing :3

The general idea is that the first part is energetic; y'know, moving along at a decent pace, probably being one of the more exciting parts of the song. It's not easy for me to communicate stuff like that, because I AM BUILT FOR SLOW STUFF ARGH MY GOD

The contrast section to the first was intended to be smoother, flowing (see crappy title), and a bit of a break from the INTENSE INTENSITY of the previous part (lol).

The transition at about 2:12 is god-awful; my apologies.

The final section is supposed to represent both of the previous parts (energy and flow, in case I'm going too fast for you). The background controls the flow, while the solo is the "drive", or energy. After the solo, the song proceeds to chill out, with an ending that may be too abrupt for some people, which I can totally understand.

Also, a big shout out to ChampionAnwar for taking a look at a piece of this track and providing feedback. If the snare is too loud, then I have failed you, my good sir.

Birdinator99 responds:

Haha; that's cool, dude. Thanks very much!

Great work man.

I really love the old school jive you have going on there. Reminds me of Chromeo a little bit. Nice transition from section to section, and guess what? Saw waves work with this type of music, yes they do they do they do. Vibratos work a treat and they were there and not too much like I hear a lot when people like to rape methods.

Great work man, something I'd jam to.

Birdinator99 responds:

Excellent, and thanks again for the help!

OHHHHHHHH!

I'm so incredibly glad to hear something by you again. You have a unique sound, and I'll admit that I've tried to play Paradox on my bass many times.

This song is great. I'd suggest maybe adding some treble to the mixing, but not much at all. I still think this is a 10/10.

Birdinator99 responds:

Aha, mixing -- my greatest weakness! Maybe next time, eh?

That riff from Paradox uses the same blues scale in two different keys I think. Like that helps at all :p

Thanks for your continued support!

Hallo I just had to write a review : D

Starting right off I really like the drum intro with all of the other instruments coming in at about the same time. The odd beat threw me off initially, but I like it now that I've heard it a couple times.

---One more thing to say but I have to listen to the end first---

Okay, the one thing that I think could be improved on is the continuity of the piece. At the beginning you have this great beat to pull people in, and is fun to listen to. But after about the half way point you never hear it again (at the very least with casual listening). And by three minutes it seems like a totally different song.

Birdinator99 responds:

Which is precisely why the transition did not work! Well pointed out; I've got to work on my overall form. Thanks for reviewing!
