Love the feel.

I really like the ambiance in this loop, the strings make a nice base for the rest of the song to build on. It sounds very peaceful, with a hint of foreboding, as if something was hiding around the next tree... BOO! :O
Yeah... that's the thought that this song popped into my head :P

I would get rid of the distortion on the spacey lead instrument and it would help to keep the softness of the original sound. If you want to keep the full sound of that instrument without the distortion I might suggest adding more instruments (probably more string sections? or woodwinds?) and having them all play the same part. It might give it a richer feel than just having the one distortion part.

Also, it may just be my browser lagging a bit, but does it actually loop properly? It seems to just like cut off the distortion part when it loops. You may want to add another couple measures of just strings at the end to calm it down again before it restarts. Or just fade out the last note of the distortion lead.
