wow
this is some good chillstep!
It's a been a while, so here's another track.
I've always been a huge fan of the Gorillaz, because of their unrivaled skills in collaboration and creativity. Anyway after listening to Plastic Beach, I discovered a band known as Little Dragon. It wasn't long before I became addicted to their work.
I decided I wanted to do a bit of an homage to them in some way, what you listen to now is the product of my efforts to do so.
So yeah, constructive criticism is appreciated as always. If you like this be sure to spread it around - I want more people to know about this band.
The song I remixed is called Twice, from Little Dragon's first (and self titled) album.
Thanks.
wow
this is some good chillstep!
Thanks man, much appreciated. That's the way I like doing most things, hence my artist name. :D
Really Cool
Love the Gorillaz too. I especially like the Feed Me remix of Melancholy Hill. Love the effects you use on the vocals. The song could use some bass though. A wobble would be pretty fitting here imho.
Thanks for the critique dude! Although honestly I tried bass several times with some LFO it just didn't fit all that well and kind of overpowered the vocals. Just the same I hear where you're coming from.
Trippy!
Really awesome work! Love the sounds and strings, as well as the vocal track.
Thanks for the review dude, I'll be sure to check out some of your work as well. Oh and tell your friends hahahahaha.... oh and listen to the original song, Little Dragon's Twice.
dr00llllll
as soon as the female vox kicked in... I just had to give you a 10/10 and a 5/5. now I must click the download button.........
Thanks man! Hearing this coming from the community is great and keeps me going. I'll be sure to let you know if I release anything else.
:)
I like it
but I'm not really too crazy about that snare... It seems a bit flat. Either way the track is great. Definitly proof that dubstep doesn't need crazy bass.
Great job!
Thanks! I enjoy dub-step quite a bit, but I've always liked to see how it might sound without a wobble/LFO bass. I understand your gripes with the snare too, some people like it and some don't, but you definitely have a valid point about it being a bit flat. If you don't mind taking a listen to Aundral, that'd be great, I'm not sure about the drums on that one either.
Ah well anyway, your review is appreciated, I'll be sure to take a look at your work in return. Gotta support the creative community.
Please contact me if you would like to use this in a project. We can discuss the details.
