TranceJump. My first serious attempt at making a Trance song. I tried very hard to avoid some cliches of the genre, even though I love them so. Things I learned while making this I hope to apply to future trance and DnB songs. Maybe another crack at a video game remix !]

Outstanding

-Beginning-
Well the rain drops at the beginning where it sounded kinda like raindrops from a video game. Then the steady drum beat was nicely added. Then the weird beep sound and it started picking up.It just sounded beautiful the whole way through.

-Middle-
it didn't really change that much but it still had a big change. It was more techno then before.I did like it the way it was but I still liked it.At 1:50 that was one of my favorite part.So that was real great part.

-End-
The ending was real nice to.It was really fast moving so props for that.I like how like the finisher to the song was like the beginning. So it wrapped up nicely.

-Points-
Beginning-10
Middle-10
End-9Overall=9.667(rounded to 10)

Bouncy!

I really like the title of the song, as I found the song to be jumpy/bouncy, because of the rhythmic bass and the melody.

The main problem with most trance is that it's very generic and unoriginal, and soon gets repetitive. You've nicely avoided this by changing up the melody from time to time and adding/removing instruments.

There was an odd instrument that joined in at about 2.12, which didn't fit in for somet time. However, around 2.40 the entire song sped up a bit, which made that specific instrument fit in much better.

I really liked the instruments you've used as well. At some points throughout the song it felt somewhat empty, though. The intro also dragged out a bit, with pretty cheesy drums to start off. Other than that, a great track. The ending was also very well-done.

Firstly, thanks for the review! They are like gold to me. Its great to hear that Ive managed to make a somewhat different sounding trancer. The instrument at 2.12 is a Hardcore (fl plugin) guitar that i messed with, it sounds awesome but i need to figure out how to get it to play nice with other sounds a bit. Things to work on....

its ok i guess

kinda high pitched maybe change it up a lil bit

Finally! A Great Trance Song!

You know a lot of Trance songs lose me straight from the beginning with their cliche openings you have to wait for that long intro just to get to the damn song. However right from the beginning you already had me hooked and your song unlike other Trance songs isn't repetitive. I really liked this song and would certainly have other people give a listen to it. This song mixed a lot of different things in it while still being simplistic and fun.

I like it I like it I like it

0:18 Sounding very nice and simple.
0:30 This is a bit shrill, but still bearable.
0:43 Sounding a bit plain at the moment. Anticipating though.
0:57 Nice bass. I like your little "droplets" on top. That's the only name I could think up for them. Hope you know what I mean.
1:23 Verrry nice bass.
1:38 It shouldn't work melodically, but it does.
1:53 This is a nice break.
2:20 I don't like the background bass. It could be because I have earphones though. Practically no bass.
2:46 Quite nice. But it doesn't have that filled-in sound to it.
3:05 I like the variation to your sounds.
3:28 A little bit too busy here.
3:49 Sounds fantastic at the very end.
4:05 Verrry nice ending.

I like this. A lot. I should be looking out for you in the future. I'm about to put you on my favourites list. I'll keep an eye out for you. Well done.

MobiusIII responds:

Wow. Now that is an in-depth review! Thank you. One of the challenges I had was getting all of the sounds play nice with each other, so that might explain the 'basslessness' and the business at parts. I'll improve, and I appreciate your criticism!
