Okay. This is the track I submitted to DanceFloor Mayhem's Tv-Off remix contest. Vocals are used WITH PERMISSION of TV-Off.

I spent a solid week or so on this track, everything but the vocals is created by me. Transcribed the synth and played on a real bass, transcribed the synth lead. Wrote in a guitar part. Wrote some very different percussion.

This might be the project I'm most proud of, to be honest. Covers can be insanely fun.

Thanks for listening, and again, the vocals are used with permission of TV-Off.

I like it!

Very nice. As said before, there a few small timing issues but nothing too bad. Could use a little more perc in some places, but your modest use of them make them stick out more which is also a good point. Overall its really good. I like the use of an actual instrument, as I also play many instruments. However, I don't use them in my songs due to quality. The experience definitely helps.

Amazing cover

This is a pretty nice cover version, doesn't sound like general rock, sounds kind of like pop/rock to me at first and then it switches to rock, awesome cover work there.

Guitar: Sounds a little like a hardcore synth, nice.

Vocals: The original vocals used.

Drums: Nice little drum beat.

Bass: Awesome, very loud bass.

Overall: Very cool cover.

Not bad

I think this is a nice piece - I'm not in the mood for listening to the piece that this is a cover of. With how it sounds, I'm sure that I don't have to. I like the guitar that this piece has acting as a backing tune, but you bring it out nicely. It could do with a full-blown solo, but other than that, it's got a very nice feel to it.

There are some good vocals here - I'm not sure if you've just sampled them from the original, but if you have, it's a very good job with editing them into the rest of the tune, so good stuff.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. The original piece is a high-energy electro-pop piece that's a bit of fun.

I was pretty happy with the way the instrumentals turned out. Like I stated in the description the vocals are from the original band. They were released in a pack for a remix contest, and I obtained their permission to upload my submission here.

Good cover

I just listened to the original song and I have to say I like your cover version even better than the original. Maybe it's because I don't like dance music that much, heh.

But anyway, you've done a very good job with this song. I like the hard sounding guitar riffs in the background, they fit very nice to the voice.
I also like how you tried to keep the song from getting repetitive by constantly changing around the background music. I like even more how all of the different background "parts" fit so well to the voice. Almost seems as if the vocals where exclusively written and recorded for this song.

I spent a fair amount of time on this one, and I've still got some files laying around that had failed attempts at writing the instrumentals. The only thing I really had to go on was the bass in the original song, so I kind of just based everything around that.

I left their vocal track entirely intact, and decided to write around it. I think if I had futzed with slicing up the vocals I never would have finished.

Thanks for the review!

Pen Island

I liked that synth you were using at the begining. It had a unique little sound on it. Anyways, the song got going, and it sounded sweet when it sounded like a band was playing, no FX on it, or hardly any. But then it kinda slowed down. Which I didn't like. I didn't like the girls voice all that much, because the lyrics seemed kinda stupid, but you put a nice little spin on the music to kinda overtake her stupidity.
I'm not sure, one sec... I think I got some sort of static at 232, but it might have a been a double snare hit, like a flam or something. Actually, I heard it again, so I think it might be.
Your bass sounds nice and basey. I like the deep shit.
It's a good song, but not excellent. Good job, for real.

Thanks for the review.

Like I said, the lyrics are the source file from the band, so the song is built around that, rather than the other way around.

I was proud of the bass tone.
