Assuming this is still a WIP(Work in progress) I think it's quite calm and nice. This also seems to be something different from your other works ("DangerZone" and "I Remain"), which actually feels like a new fresh breeze of air.

I consider this to be a type of soft-rock, but since we don't really have that section, I guess general -rock will have to do.

I would like to make a recommendation to your co-worker, a few songs made by a member of this community called Kayoszx. His heavy-metal instrumentals are definitely more heavier than this, but iirc he also has a lot of ambient songs (though I really think that his heavy-metal / soft-rock instrumentals are nice enough).

5/5 - I am going to be honest, general rock is not my "thing", so I really don't know how to rate it. But since I made the comment, I might as well give it a score. I also find this promising, so 5/5 on this section can actually fit nicely.
9/10 - I heard better WIP's, but this is not that bad :D

It starts out like a chill song, for sitting back and chilling, but then, once the solo starts, it just turns freaking epic. Seriously, this song would fit perfectly into a movie trailer.

Definitely one of the better General Rock songs I have listened to. The tune is catchy and well recorded. Needs a bit more EQing, panning and volume editing though. The solo that starts at 1:23 needs a bit of work, I think you could make that sounds a bit better. I'm a guitar player myself so of course there are bits I would change but it's up to you to do that otherwise I'd be co-writing it, lol! What's with the random shout at the end too?

Sounds very nice

The tune seems to be rather calming and really nice, can't wait to hear the vocal version, this tune like most others feels as if it holds a story to it as well, I really like that in music. This kind of music tends to lean closer to what I like, your band sounds very wonderful as well.

For being a first half of a song it doesn't seem to bad anyways, I'd love to hear a solo in this song for the second half, maybe 25 seconds long for the solo then continue to a main beat, very wondrous job, looking forward to hearing more from you. =]
