Then nothing in particular. As dissonant wrote, it really needs something powerful to release the tension. Either a heavily distorted guitar or a powerful arpeggiated synth.
Have you tried distorting those drums a bit? It could yield some interesting results.
Oh, and turn up those background synths a little bit (all other ones besides the one that sounds like strings, which is perfect at the volume it is) because the drums are loud.
WOW! I'm loving all the amazing insights today =) I can sum up my response to your reviews with this : The Static Rose is a song written about my dear grand mother who is currently in a coma. Her whole life she blocked out her depression and did not seek help. As a result, her life was lived in agony and despair. All of the drowned out instruments represent her drowned out innocence. Bye for now =)

Nice groove.
I like this. However, the drum interlude that climaxes to the one crash doesn't really do it for me. This left me wanting more from the song, I feel it is a bit sparse. A wailing solo guitar wouldn't be out of place. haha.

Absolutely agree with you on the guitar solo. This is not meant to be an impacting song however. It is meant to portray human melancholy. Thanks for your input. =)
