This is a weird one. I was walking home one day and this just popped into my head... I got it down and played with it a little before I saw that I might actually be able to make this one pretty long. This is just the demo, which I created over a total work period of maybe 2 or 3 hours. And there's way more coming.

I just hope I can live up to what this song expects from me...

awesome

It's very weird indeed, but it's awesome. Quite good for a boss level or something in a game. The flutes are quite spastic :P But the sound cool. Only the flutes and drums and piano sound a bit dry. Try working with some more reverb: put it under the mixpanel and the turn aux 1 a bit up.

Nonetheless good job!

ObsidianSnow responds:

lol "Quite good for a boss level or something in a game"? Epic. That's actually where the name came from - I want to use it in my RPG for when you take on a foe who is WAY beyond your skill level, or you do something dumb like decide you want to do the final boss fight when you're still using a toothpick for a weapon.

As for the 'verb... thanks. I was thinking about that just the other day, and you're definitely right. I gave it a shot about 20 minutes ago, before coming back here to respond... It's going to take some tweaking - the reverb seems to be overly sensitive on this one.

Not sure what you mean by the mixpanel, I'll take another look. It might not be in my version of Reason (2.5 lol) but I will certainly give that a shot.

Thanks for the awesome review, Mjattie!

Nice work!

For 3 hours that is sweet, nice constant sound that you have going, might need to keep the static down a bit though, try Audacity as an editor, you can bring the wavelengths down a bit to remove the shakiness, other than that, can not wait for the full version!

lolz... first post

ObsidianSnow responds:

Woah... lol I've even used Audacity on numerous occasions, yet that never even remotely occurred to me to use it to that effect... XP that's too good. Thanks - I'll be sure to do that with the full version.

Thanks for the review, DaBomber - and since this is your first post...
