My friend and I are writing a book called Mage Academy, and I thought, 'if Mage Academy had a soundtrack, what would it sound like?'
So I set about making this.
This would happen during one of the really sad bits in the book (I ain't saying).
NOTE: IF the book ever gets published (or finished), don't be expecting a serious fantasy. No, this is a very light-hearted, rude and dirty fantasy comedy story. Also, if it ever DOES find a publisher, it'll probably only ever get released in Britain. But hey, you Americans can always buy it from the Internet!
Good start
There's a nice idea here but no real structure. Seems that you used some music software and randomly added some notes and thought "Hey that sounds pretty good" and went with it.
That's a good place to start but now try and shape it into a real melody. Stick with the one string sound. It does sound Mage-like and gives the impression of giant halls in big old castles. Nice stuff.
Okay, thanks for the good advice. I'm working on some of the other songs in the soundtrack. it's actually pretty hard making a Combat theme! But the program I used was mario Paint Composer, which might sound stupid, but actualy yields some pretty good results! but thanks for the advice.
This works as an ambience.
And it should probably submitted in the ambience category. I don't see this song fitting a sad theme. That and it's a little lacking in the melody area.

Lol no good beat whatsoever
It's just a small little mini-hum that just repeats it'self. IT doesnt seem like music but more like a person just playing 1 string on an instrument. It's not a song at all and it can barely be called music let alone a nice beat.
