Funny how we can give our work "working titles" before we figure out what they actually are. This one was called "badass" til I got through to the last ten or fifteen seconds of the song and I realized where my aimless audio wanderings were taking me.

Originally this was supposed to be sort of my re-introduction to composing my own music, and it actually turned out decent in my opinion, so I figured I should just throw it on here to see if anyone agrees.

And in case you're on myspace add my music profile for the latest news as well as the growing portfolio of graphic designs I'm compiling for the umbrella Double The Standard project. If you don't feel like clicking the link to it (my official website for now) my name is the same there and the url extension (after is donaldfletchermusic

Thanks for listening,

Evil Ompaloopas (SP?)

Yea thats right!!! HAHA not bad man needs a big of work on the levels those voices are a big high and over power the track, your low end guitar sound needs to be brought up a tad bit to stand out. And easy on the Reverb hahah those highs are killing me lol.

I really liked the Beginning.

The Beginning Lit it all up, The only problem I had with this is though, Is That the sounds weren't loud enough, The ending was Ok, But This is awsome.
Good work.

DonaldFletcher responds:

Yeah, I agree with you on the sounds. I can't find a way to get around that honestly, without just having it get clipped hard. I've been trying to find a compressor, or something, anything to do something about that.
Ah, but it appears I'm drunk right now, and can't think coherently anyway. Thanks man, I'm gonna keep trying to figure that out!

Really good..

I like it its really get bonus points fopr having the same first name as me and the same last only if your middle name started with a C. But what tools did you use?

DonaldFletcher responds:

yo, thanks man. sorry it took me so long to see this review; it doesn't exactly email me whenever i get one (though I wish it would)

On this one I mostly used SawCutter 1.0 (the guitar-like sound and also tweaking a few otehr things here and there) and I used ACID 4 to mix it all together. Let's see, Hammerhead Rhythm Station on drums. And a midi composer. Think that covers it!

Thought I would stop by.

Wonderful song, you have a great ear for melodies, and industrial music in general, I really need to make more industrial music, im just dry for ideas. If you have anything for me to go on. as always your welcome to pm me.

Favorited you!

DonaldFletcher responds:

Thanks man!
It's been awhile since I've produced anything new because I'm a little stumped right now myself- I just spent some cash on some new tools here and now I'm in the process of figuring out exactly what to do with them.
Between college, my own frustration and other distractions I feel like I've been pretty lax around NG for a week now and I hate that.
Right now I'm playing around with some more traditional instrumental sounds - that's where I went, so if you're looking for anything new maybe start there? I'll hopefully be able to check out your new material soon and maybe I can offer some advice.
Ah, life...

Definitely dig the hook on this one.

DonaldFletcher responds:

Thanks again for the positive review man
It means a hell of a lot to me when a heavy metal god such as yourself digs my sound :D
