Acoustic guitar improvisation for the win?

I recorded the rhythm and then improvised a lead for it.

There are decent parts and then there are godawful parts. Excuse my lame tremolo picking.

There are several offkey notes, particularly towards the end. Oops.

Recorded with Windows Recorder (yes, I'm that cheap), a cheap mic, and slightly retouched and put together in FL.

I really liked this track. Improvisations are always nice, especially when they are done with an acoustic guitar (a very underated instrument if you ask me ;) ).

Some parts of this seem to be vary random, but then, it's improvised so there's really nothing wrong with that.

Sometimes there where a few clapping/clicking sounds in it, which was a little bit annoying as it distracted me a bit from the guitar.

Also, the intro could have been done a bit better. Right now it seems as if you just stopped playing. A slow fade out while you continue playing would sound much better in my opinion.

Has it potential...

It could be a little more organized, in my opinion. Sounds good in beginning, but in the middle around 1:15, it wasn't to good. Unless you were going the improvisational blues feel, in which case, it is fine. I really didn't care for 2:10. As I could here your banging on the recorder, and it was a little too random for my tastes. But I think you captured the gist of the genre.

Reminds me of Kill Bill

This jsut sounds like the sort of tune that could have been played when Kiddo met with Esteban Verheja (sp?) in Mexico. There is a sort of tension to the whole situation, but through it all, there is also a tragic love in there as well.

The guitar is really well played (Self played, or computer program?) and it conjures up real deep emotions in me, when I hear it. I think I need to hear more of your tunes, to truly understand your thinking, but I've got a few ideas ;)

It loops well, which is a very nice bonus.

Nice

Had a very nice beat, it felt very, uhhh, foreign... like spanish or something...You done very good but I wouldn't classify this as rock....

well its allright

the guitar sounded good but i dont the drums really fit in the with the track. alltogether it sounds like a load of stuff thrown together.

the drums should be quieter too if the track is going to be focused on the guitaar as they make it harder to hear.

i think you should remake this from a different perspective.

5/10

I think so too, I plan on adding spanish-sounding guitars to an electronic song (probably House or Trance)

Thanks for the review.
