Speachless...
The most original beat...err, melody I've heard in a long time. Never heard something so perfect for just straight poetry. May use this some time. I'll keep it stored for later ;) .
I enjoyed it
Only one thing i can say... I was waiting on drums from start, haha. But all in all it really doesn't need a major percussion. However one thing I didn't like was i felt the high pitched keys should have continued when the violin came in.
Otherwise i quite enjoyed it. Seems very sad.
Nice
Really good song man. Well, you ready to read a review that's long as hell? Well that's what I'm here for!
Good Things:
-Liked that weird echo-ey beat effect that recurred throughout the song.
-Piano fit perfectly, really conveyed the mood of this song.
-Violin was nice, although it did sound kind of weird at times, but I'm kind of a picky bastard when it comes to how realistic instruments sound, and you're one of the best I've heard anyway.
-Liked the oboe, I mean, I'm pretty sure it was an oboe. I only play clarinet so I'm not too sure.
Bad Things:
-Whole song in general was kind of bland. I feel like some backing melodies with orchestra would've made this song a lot more dynamic and yet calm at the same time.
-The beat was kind of bland too. Maybe a nice bass kick with a calm sounding snare (kind of like You and Me simple version) backed by that echo-ey beat effect would've worked better.
-The song was kind of repetitive and got boring after awhile. Some varied melodies would've really added tot he song.
-I feel like a song like this would suit a sad yet hopeful movie ending theme, like after some epic battle or something. But than again, that's all I really think about when I hear classical songs, so if you wanted to keep this simple, than you've got the right idea.
-But if you think my idea works better, maybe some soothing choir (like in A Winter Dream) , and some more varied and intertwining melodies in the strings would've worked. And maybe some brass too if you felt it necessary.
Well yeah, have your songs ever NOT been good? Heh, keep em' coming man, and I hope your "situation" isn't affecting you too much, later man, 5/5, peace.
awesome start
this project will be epic lol
really liked the piano and drums in this one
